For users of the RMG Connect mobile app
Last updated: May 7, 2026
Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 15th, 2026 Last updated: May 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Roadmaster Group II LLC (“RMG”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, monitors, and protects information when employees, subcontractors, or authorized users access or use the RMG Connect mobile app (the “App”) on iOS and Android.
This Policy covers only the RMG Connect mobile app. It does not cover RMG’s internal dashboards or any RMG website. By using the App you acknowledge and consent to the practices described in this Policy, subject to applicable law.
Where the App is offered. RMG Connect is offered to users in the United States only. If you are outside the United States, please do not use the App.
At a glance
If you only read one section, read this:
- What we collect from you: your sign-in, the documents you scan, app feedback you submit, and a flag indicating whether you’ve turned on Face ID / Touch ID.
- What we already have about you: your driver and assignment records, which RMG manages for you in McLeod and shows to you in the App.
- What we do not collect: your location or GPS, your payment cards, your contacts, your photo library, your microphone, your push-notification token, advertising IDs, or any analytics about how you use the App.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites. iOS will not show you the “Allow App to Track” prompt because the App does not track.
- We do not sell or share your information for advertising.
- You can request that we delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. Section 7 explains how.
1. What we collect
We collect information directly from you when you use the App, and we receive information from RMG and from RMG’s dispatch system (McLeod) about your work. We do not buy personal information from data brokers or other third-party sources.
1.1 What you give us
- Your sign-in. Username and password when you log in.
- Your Face ID / Touch ID preference. A simple yes/no on your device that says whether you’ve turned on biometric sign-in. The biometric template stays on your phone - iOS and Android handle the match, and only return a yes/no to the App.
- The documents you scan. When you use the in-app scanner, the photo of the document is uploaded so it reaches the right person at RMG. We store the type of document, the recipients, and the time you submitted it.
- Feedback you submit. Star rating and free-text answers from the in-app feedback form.
1.2 What we already have about you and show in the App
RMG keeps your work records in its dispatch system (McLeod). The App pulls them in and shows them to you. This includes:
- Name, work email, phone numbers including extensions, mailing address.
- Driver code, employment status, hire date.
- Loads, assignments, payroll history, payment history, recap hours, internal phone directory.
These are RMG’s existing records about your work. The App displays them - it doesn’t create new ones.
1.3 What stays on your phone
- Sign-in tokens in iOS Keychain or Android Keystore so you don’t have to log in every time.
- A retry queue for any document upload that didn’t succeed the first time, so the App can try again when your signal improves.
1.4 What we do not collect
For complete clarity, the App does not collect any of the following:
- Your location or GPS. The App does not ask for location permission and contains no map or geolocation code.
- Telematics, ELD, or vehicle data. The App does not connect to your truck or any Bluetooth device.
- Payment card or banking information. Payroll views are read-only; the App never asks for card or bank details.
- Push-notification tokens, device IDs, or advertising IDs.
- Analytics or behavioral tracking. No Sentry, Datadog, Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar tools are integrated into the App.
- Your contacts, calendar, microphone, or photo library. The camera is used only when you tap “scan a document,” and the resulting image only leaves the App when you submit the scan.
- Health, fitness, or biometric identifiers. A face/fingerprint match is performed by your phone’s operating system and never reaches us.
1.5 Sensitive personal information, California
Under the California Privacy Rights Act, your password is treated as “sensitive personal information.” We use it only to sign you in and keep your account secure. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not sell or share it.
2. How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- Sign you in to the App and to RMG’s systems.
- Show you your assignments, payroll, contacts, news, and resources.
- Receive the documents you scan and route them to the correct recipients at RMG.
- Send confirmation emails when scans are processed.
- Investigate the feedback you submit.
- Diagnose problems, for example, retrying a failed document upload.
- Comply with our legal obligations, transportation, tax, employment and enforce our agreements.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
What’s required vs. optional. Providing your sign-in is required to use the App - without it, you cannot access your assignments, payroll, or other work records. Submitting documents through the in-app scanner and submitting feedback are optional: you can use the App without them, but some workflows depend on you submitting the documents your dispatcher requests.
3. Who we share your information with
We share information only with the providers that help us operate the App. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. We do not trade your information with anyone for money or anything of value.
| Recipient | What it does | What we send it |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services - Cognito | Stores your sign-in credentials and issues sign-in tokens | Username, hashed password, basic user attributes, sign-in tokens |
| Amazon Web Services - S3 | Stores the documents you scan | Document images and document metadata |
| McLeod Software | RMG’s dispatch and payroll system, where your work records live | Driver records, assignment data, payroll history, document submissions |
| [EMAIL PROVIDER NAME] | Sends confirmation emails after a scan is processed | Sender, recipients, subject, and body of operational emails |
| Expo Application Services | Builds and ships the App to the App Store and Google Play | Build artifacts only - no information about you at runtime |
We disclose information to these entities solely as our ‘service providers’ or ‘processors’ under applicable privacy laws. They may use the information only to provide services to us and not for their own purposes
We may also disclose information when required by law court order, subpoena, regulator request or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RMG, our personnel, or the public.
If RMG is acquired, merged, or reorganized, your information may transfer to the successor organization, and we will let you know.
4. How long we keep your information
We keep your information only as long as we need it to run the App and meet our legal obligations.
| Type of information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Sign-in tokens on your device | Until you sign out, the App is reinstalled, or the token expires |
| Failed-upload cache on your device | Until the upload succeeds or you sign out |
| Scanned documents and metadata | [TO BE SET - typically 5-7 years per DOT and IRS recordkeeping rules and in some cases for the duration of employment plus 3 years] |
| Work records, driver, assignment, payroll | Per RMG’s standard recordkeeping policy |
| Feedback you submit | [TO BE SET - typically up to 24 months] |
When we no longer need your information, we delete it or remove anything that could identify you.
5. How we protect your information
We use industry-standard safeguards, including:
- Encryption in transit TLS between the App and our servers.
- Encrypted storage on your device for sign-in tokens iOS Keychain, Android Keystore.
- Time-limited upload links for the documents you scan.
- Access controls and audit logging on our backend systems.
- Hashed password storage at AWS Cognito - even RMG cannot read your password.
No system is 100% secure. Please keep your sign-in confidential and contact us right away if you think your account has been compromised. If we experience a security incident involving your information, we will notify you in a time and manner consistent with applicable law.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to do any of the following at any time:
- See what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that’s wrong.
- Delete your information with limits explained below.
- Export a copy of your information in a usable format.
- Withdraw any consent you previously gave.
To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the time required by applicable law typically 30-45 days. If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing us at [email protected] within 30 days of receiving our decision. We will review your appeal and respond within the timeframe required under applicable state law.
We will not retaliate against you for exercising your rights.
6.1 California residents, CCPA / CPRA
If you live in California, you have the rights above plus the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information to what’s necessary to provide the App. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law, so there is nothing to opt out of.
The chart in Section 1 above is your Notice at Collection under California law.
6.2 Other US states
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Tennessee, Indiana, Florida, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, and Rhode Island have rights similar to those above under their state privacy laws right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your information; right to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal information - neither of which we do. Email us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your RMG Connect account at any time:
- Email [email protected] from the email address RMG has on file for you, or contact your RMG dispatcher.
- We will verify your identity and, within 30 days, delete the personal information associated with your App account.
- We may keep some information after deletion where the law requires it for example, payroll records under tax and labor laws, or driver records under DOT regulations. We will tell you what we’re keeping and why.
- Deleting your account here does not end your employment or contractor relationship with RMG, and does not delete RMG’s underlying employment records.
8. Tracking and “Do Not Track” signals
The App does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Because we do not track, iOS will not show you the “Allow App to Track” prompt when you open the App. We do not use cookies in the App, and we do not respond to web-browser “Do Not Track” signals because the App is not a web browser.
9. Children
RMG Connect is intended for adult RMG personnel. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will remove the information unless applicable law requires retention.
10. If you are an RMG employee or contractor
You receive RMG Connect because you work for RMG. Records about your work are processed as part of RMG’s normal workforce administration. RMG’s separate workforce / HR privacy notice covers those records and controls in the case of any conflict on workforce matters.
This policy governs only how the App handles information and does not modify employment-related rights or obligations. This does not waive any privacy rights you have under state law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
